Wedged Through Tenon Joint Plans

The wedged through tenon is like a through mortise and tenon, but is held in place mechanically by two wedges. The mortise is angled outward to create a captured dovetail shape that prevents the two pieces from pulling apart. This joint is usually glued together.

The design is in 1″ (4/4) stock, but the same ratios can be scaled for larger stock.
